GREEN BAY – Josh Jacobs delivered an impressive performance despite battling a stomach bug during the game. The Packers running back recorded 150 yards and two touchdowns in Green Bay’s 27-18 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals at Lambeau Field.

Jacobs, who led the team in both rushing and receiving, finished with 93 rushing yards on 18 carries and five receptions for 57 yards. This marked his second consecutive game with over 150 yards from scrimmage, a feat not achieved by a Packers player since Ahman Green in 2003.

The Packers’ ground game gained momentum in the second half, with Jacobs scoring on a 3-yard touchdown in the second quarter and a 14-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter. His performance was supported by a fully available offensive line for the first time this season, allowing for improved blocking.

Both right tackle Zach Tom and left guard Aaron Banks returned to the lineup, contributing to the offensive line’s success. Center Elgton Jenkins noted that the team focused on practicing effectively, which translated into their performance during the game.

Jacobs has now scored a rushing touchdown in seven consecutive home games, setting a franchise record. Despite feeling unwell, he was determined to play, acknowledging that he faced some physical challenges during the game.

Rookie receiver Matthew Golden also had a standout game, achieving career highs with 86 receiving yards and 102 total yards from scrimmage. His contributions were crucial, as all five of his touches resulted in first downs.

Defensively, the Packers started strong but are still seeking a complete four-quarter performance. They held the Bengals to just one yard in the first quarter, but Cincinnati’s offense found rhythm in the second half, highlighting areas for improvement moving forward.
