HBO Max Increases Subscription Prices Across All Plans Effective Immediately

HBO Max has increased its subscription prices across all plans, effective immediately. This marks the first price hike since last year when the platform raised rates for its ad-free options.

As of October 21, 2025, the new prices for HBO Max plans are as follows: the Basic plan with ads will now cost $10.99 per month, an increase of $1, or $109.99 annually, up by $10. The Standard plan will be $18.49 per month, reflecting a $1.50 increase, or $184.99 annually, which is $15 more.

The Premium plan will see a $2 increase, bringing the monthly cost to $22.99 and the annual fee to $229.99, an increase of $20. These changes apply to new subscribers immediately.

Current monthly subscribers will receive a notification 30 days before their next billing cycle, with price increases starting on or after November 20, 2025. Yearly subscribers will not experience the price change until their renewal date, also with a 30-day advance notice.
