Amazon has reported that its systems are back online following connectivity issues that occurred on Monday. However, there are still ongoing reports of problems affecting Amazon Web Services (AWS), the company’s cloud computing division.
Prior to these recent issues, Amazon announced that it had “fully mitigated” an earlier outage. This disruption affected several popular websites and applications, including Snapchat, Facebook, and Fortnite. Additionally, banks, the cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase, and the AI company Perplexity experienced issues, along with U.S. airlines Delta and United.
An expert has estimated that the financial impact of this disruption could reach hundreds of billions of dollars.
