Struzan’s death was announced on his official Instagram account, expressing sorrow and highlighting his appreciation for the admiration he received for his art throughout his career.
Often referred to as the “one-sheet wonder,” Struzan was a favored artist of filmmakers Steven Spielberg and George Lucas. His notable works include posters for films such as “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade,” “Back to the Future,” and the special edition of “Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back.”
Struzan’s distinctive style was characterized by bold colors and dramatic imagery, effectively capturing the essence of each film. Spielberg once remarked on Struzan’s influence, stating that he felt compelled to meet the high standards set by the artist’s work.
