Apple Unveils Creator Studio Subscription, Enhances Siri with Google Gemini

Apple has announced its first product of 2026, introducing the Apple Creator Studio, a software subscription that includes video, audio, and image editing apps. The subscription, priced at $12.99 per month or $129 per year in the U.S., features AI-powered tools and premium content for iWork apps and Freeform.

The Creator Studio bundle encompasses six creative applications, including Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, and Pixelmator Pro for both Mac and iPad. Additionally, it offers premium features for Pages, Numbers, Keynote, and Freeform. The new Pixelmator Pro app is transitioning from Mac to an iPad-optimized version, while updates for the basic Pixelmator app will cease.

In another development, Apple confirmed that the next-generation Siri will utilize Google’s Gemini technology, set to launch later this year. This partnership is expected to enhance Siri’s capabilities and may extend to future Apple Intelligence features.

Apple is anticipated to launch up to four new MacBooks in 2026, catering to a diverse range of consumers. The lineup may include both affordable options for students and high-end models for users seeking advanced specifications.

Apple has also released a second round of betas for iOS 26.3, which includes updates related to end-to-end encryption for RCS messaging. This upgrade aims to improve the texting experience on Apple devices, aligning it more closely with iMessage.

On Wednesday, Verizon experienced a significant network outage across the U.S., affecting numerous customers who reported issues online. The outage lasted several hours, prompting Verizon to apologize and offer affected users a $20 credit.

Meanwhile, leaks regarding the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro models suggest that they will maintain the same display sizes as their predecessors, with new features such as under-screen Face ID. The standard iPhone 18 and iPhone Air 2 are also expected to include a Dynamic Island and similar display sizes to previous models.
