Tesla has released two teaser videos on social media ahead of an anticipated announcement scheduled for Tuesday, October 7. The videos, shared on X, feature visuals that hint at a significant update from the electric vehicle manufacturer.

The first video shows a spinning wheel with Tesla’s logo, followed by a black screen displaying the date of the announcement. A second video features a car’s headlights illuminating a vehicle shrouded in darkness, generating excitement among Tesla investors.

In response to the teasers, Tesla’s stock rose over 4% during Monday’s trading session. This increase follows the company’s record deliveries in the third quarter, attributed to a surge in electric vehicle sales before the expiration of the federal $7,500 EV tax credit on September 30.

Despite the recent success, analysts predict that Tesla’s annual vehicle deliveries will decline for the second consecutive year, estimating approximately 1.62 million units sold in 2025. This downturn is partly due to reduced demand after the expiration of EV purchase incentives.

Earlier this year, Tesla postponed the launch of a lower-cost version of the Model Y in the U.S. to stimulate demand amid sluggish sales. The company indicated that production of this model would begin in the fourth quarter, with a target of producing around 250,000 units annually by 2026.

Wall Street analysts forecast a rebound in Tesla’s deliveries to 1.85 million vehicles in 2026, with the new, more affordable Model Y expected to contribute significantly to this figure. Market observers are keenly awaiting the pricing details of the upcoming announcement, which could provide insights into Tesla’s cost-saving efforts.

Tesla’s last major vehicle launch was the Cybertruck, which has faced challenges in sales, leading to significant discounts on existing inventory. The company has primarily focused on incremental updates to its existing models, rather than introducing new mass-market vehicles in recent years.
